Heaven’s Dew

When the dew came down on the camp at night, the manna would come down with it.

Numbers 11:9

Praising the Lord is a beautiful thing. I heard that praise is personal, and it is! As we remember our personal salvation and other intimate things the Lord has done for us, we know it is personal. Praise Him for all He does! God loves us better than anyone else.

As I was praising the Lord, I was reminded about how the Lord brought dew from heaven, and out of that dew came manna! Manna was a food source that tasted like cake baked with oil. Manna, among other things, sustained the Israelites as they made their journey from Egypt towards the promised land of milk and honey.

This beautiful image of God turning His dew from heaven into a source of life is so majestic. He makes all things new. He never wastes a thing, not even the dew! Let the praises of your lips be as the dew of heaven, which turns into life. Our very source of life, is the bread that came down from heaven, Jesus! Taste and see that the Lord is good! His praise endures forever!

This is the bread that came down out of heaven, not as the fathers ate and died; the one who eats this bread will live forever.

John 6:58
