The Unceasing Love Of God

But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;

Lamentations 3:21-22 ESV

The love of God is overwhelming in the fact when you discover His love for you and His love for the world, you realize there is more. There is no end to the love of God. It is limitless. I believe this is the eternal measure of God.

You discover one thing that leads you to another and another and another. It leaves you wanting more, while never leaving you disappointed. When you encounter one facet of His love, you see a glimmer and sparkle of hope for more.

Never stop pursuing God and His endless love. It is high and deep and wide and it encourages our hearts to a posture of perfection in Him. This is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins (1 John 4:10).

This verse spurred my mind to Isaiah 6:8. Although this was a question posed before Isaiah, I wonder did God ask His Son this question, first?

8Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”

Did Isaiah hear a heavenly conversation of Jesus replying to the Father, “Here am I. Send Me!”? Even if not, I believe Isaiah echoed the heart of Jesus who was willing to come to the world and be offered as the ultimate sacrifice that would restore us to our Father. Let our responses to God be the echo of Jesus’ perfect love and submission to Our Father.

“but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ. For He was foreknown before the foundation of the world, but has appeared in these last times for the sake of you who through Him are believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.”

1 Peter 1:19-21
